Elliptical Electromagnet

The “Mule” is Specially designed and manufactured to cater for handling large quantitites of scrap. The increasing sizes of arc and induction furnaces necessitate large requirements of handling scrap, especially unloading from the incoming vehicles as well as feeding the furnace platform or charging baskets.

The “Mule” is specially designed in an elliptical shape to enable entry into restricted spaces, and at the same time carry away high loads.

Competitive units provide space within the magnet housing where damaging condensation forms when moist air seeps in through the pressure relief valve as the magnet cools. The breather provided at the expansion tank traps the moisture and keeps it out of the magnet. Replaceable Stainless Steel Impact Plate to prevent damage to the magnet face.
